How many client stores can I run?

Accepted Answer

Between 10 and 150 depending on the tier: Starter 10, Growth 20, Professional 40, Business 60, Scale 80, Agency Pro 100, Enterprise 150. Above 150, book a call and we will talk through a plan.

Which store plans are included on each tier?

Accepted Answer

Solo on every tier, on every client store you create. Professional, Business and Scale include Team as well, and Agency Pro and Enterprise include Solo, Team and Pro, on the stores you create or bring in on that plan; moving an existing store up later is charged at the standard price. Agency-created Solo stores get 3 staff seats rather than the usual one.

Who pays for a client store?

Accepted Answer

A store you create runs on your agency plan: included plans cost nothing extra, and a bigger plan is charged monthly to your agency card at the standard price, Team £85 or Pro £249. When you bring in a store that is already on Orbit, you choose: “Your agency pays” moves it onto your agency plan, and “Client keeps paying” leaves the client’s own subscription untouched. You make that choice when you send the invite or approve the request.

Is there an agency discount on Team or Pro?

Accepted Answer

The saving comes from inclusion: Professional, Business and Scale include Team, and Agency Pro and Enterprise include Team and Pro, on the stores you create or bring in on that plan. Any other plan, or a move up on a store you already run, is charged at the standard monthly price.

Question 5

Can I bring clients who are already on Orbit into my agency?

Accepted Answer

Yes, without a migration. Invite a store by its store code (the owner finds it under Settings → Transfer store) and choose who pays, or share your agency code and approve the owner’s request from your Transfers page. Nothing changes until the owner accepts, and an invite expires after 7 days.

What happens if a client leaves me?

Accepted Answer

Release the store from its actions menu and your store slot is freed at once. A store that joined your agency by transfer goes straight back to its owner: if your agency was paying they get a 14-day grace trial to choose a plan, and if they were paying their plan carries on. A store your agency created is owned by the teammate who created it, with the client as its admin, so after releasing it that teammate passes it to the client from Settings → Transfer store.

Can I clone a store I’ve already built?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Clone Site copies pages, products (with or without stock levels), categories, brands, the theme, store settings, shipping and tax, and discounts into a new client store, and installs the plugins you choose. Orders, customers and payment information are never cloned.

Question 8

Can clients change their own plan?

Accepted Answer

On the stores your agency pays for, only if you let them. The agency-wide switch “Allow clients to change their site plan” makes every change come through you when it is off, and each store can override it: inherit, allowed, or agency only. A client who pays for their own plan can always change it.

Question 9

How many of my team can use the agency dashboard?

Accepted Answer

3 on Starter, 5 on Growth, 10 on Professional, 20 on Business, 30 on Scale, 50 on Agency Pro and unlimited on Enterprise. Admins add stores, invite team members and manage domains and email; staff open a live client store with one-click login and work in it as a store admin, while the agency’s own settings stay with the admins. Your team does not use a client store’s staff seats.

Question 10

How do domains and email work, and what do they cost?

Register a domain for a client or connect one they own, manage its DNS records in the agency dashboard and switch on auto-renew. Email hosting adds 5, 25 or 100 mailboxes to a domain, with MX records set automatically on agency-managed domains. Prices are set in US dollars and converted to your billing currency at checkout, so check them there.

Where are client stores hosted, and how is client data kept apart?

Accepted Answer

On AWS in London, with certificates handled. Stores share the platform’s infrastructure; every request is scoped to one store, access is by role, and your staff never see a client owner’s password. Each store has two-factor sign-in and an audit log the owner can export.

Can I build and sell my own plugins and themes, and what cut do you take?

Accepted Answer

Yes, through a free partner account. Publish to the store, share a plugin unlisted by install link without store review, or keep it private to named client stores. You keep 85% of paid plugin and theme sales, paid out through Stripe.
