A small team, hiring slowly.
No open roles today, and we’d rather say so than keep a fake careers page running to collect CVs. If you’re curious about working here, drop us a line — a human reads every email, and we reply honestly even when it’s a no for now.
Who you’d be joining
Built by people who’ve shipped stores.
Orbit Commerce is a small team building the ecommerce platform we always wanted. We run our own brands, and through an agency we’ve launched stores on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Magento for hundreds of businesses. Orbit is what comes next — hosted like Shopify, but without the app bills and transaction fees stacking up as you grow.
We’re small on purpose. Most decisions are one conversation away from shipping, the work you do goes out under your name, and you’re close enough to real merchants that their frustration lands on your desk within the week. If that’s the kind of team you’re looking for, read on.
How we work
Three things we actually mean.
Operator-minded
We run our own brands and an agency that's shipped hundreds of stores on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Magento. Orbit exists because we got tired of fighting those platforms on behalf of clients — and ourselves. We hire people who've felt that same frustration.
Honest defaults
If we don't know, we say so. We'd rather tell a merchant, a journalist, or a candidate "we don't have that answer yet" than dress up a guess. No made-up metrics, no borrowed credibility. That applies internally too — with each other and with anyone who joins.
Small team, real ownership
You'll touch more than your job title. The work you ship goes out under your name, not a committee's. If something breaks, you're the person closest to fixing it. That's the trade-off — more reach, fewer people to hide behind.
Future openings
Roles we’d like to hire when we grow.
No timelines, no promises. A rough list of where we’ll need help first, in the order we think it’ll matter. If you see yourself somewhere here, get in touch before we post anything — we’d rather talk to people we’re already in contact with.
