Your shop’s customer emails, from the order confirmation to the back-in-stock alert, are email templates you can edit. Change the words and colours in the visual editor or in HTML, then save and send yourself a test.

The order confirmation as it lands: your logo and colours, the order filled in, and your own address on it once your domain is verified.
Your name on it
Your store name heads the email. The logo and primary colour you set on the Branding tab apply to every template, customised ones included, unless you give one a colour of its own.
Their order in it
Order number, date, items and totals are filled from the order. Merge fields cover the rest, from {{customerName}} to {{storefrontUrl}}.
From your own address
Enter a sender name and address, add three DNS records, and your order, return, subscription, gift card and digital emails go out from your domain.
Replies reach you
Those emails come from your address, so a reply lands in your inbox. The welcome, verification and password reset emails carry your address as the reply-to, so replies to them reach you as well.

Each one goes out on its own when the thing it is about happens.
Order updates
Confirmed, shipped, tracking updates and cancellations go out as the order moves.
Payment problems
A failed, expired or cancelled payment gets its own email, and so does a refund.

On the Branding tab of Email Notifications, enter the Sender Name customers will see and a Sender Email Address at your domain.

Three CNAME records
Orbit shows the DKIM records for your domain. Add them at your DNS provider, or press Connect automatically where your provider supports Domain Connect, then press Check verification.

Up to 72 hours
DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to reach every server. Until the domain is verified, emails go out from Orbit’s address.
