Is there a free plan, and what happens when the 14 days are up?

Every plan starts with 14 days free and no card. If you add a card during the trial, your plan starts when the 14 days end. If you do not, the trial expires, nothing is charged, and the store is paused with your data kept; pick a plan whenever you are ready and it carries on where you left off. After the trial Solo is £25 a month, Team £85, Pro £249 and Enterprise £999, all excluding VAT.

Is VAT added to these prices?

Yes, where it applies. Prices are shown without VAT. Your invoice is worked out with Stripe’s automatic tax, so a UK business sees 20% VAT added, and every invoice shows the net amount and the VAT separately.

Yes. Yearly billing is a quarter less: Solo is £225 for the year (£19 a month), Team £765, Pro £2,241 and Enterprise £8,991, paid as one payment when you subscribe. Pick a plan from Settings > Billing and switch the checkout to yearly billing before you pay.

What happens if I change plan part way through a month?

Moving up takes effect straight away and you pay only the difference for the days left in your billing period. Moving down is scheduled for the end of the period you have paid for, so you keep what you paid for and the lower price starts at the next renewal.

Is part of the card rate Orbit’s fee?

Yes. The rate published for your plan is Stripe’s own processing fee plus our share, added together, and it is the whole cost of taking that payment: nothing is added on top per order, and there is no minimum. Enterprise pays the Pro rate. The rates for business, Amex, European and international cards are on the payments page.

What happens when a customer pays in another currency?

You can price the storefront in 15 currencies and customers pay in the one they browsed in. Stripe converts the payment to pounds before it reaches your balance and charges its own conversion fee on top of the card rate.

What costs extra beyond the plan?

Paid plugins (each priced on its store listing before you install), the Amazon and eBay plans above their free tier, the shopping feed plans above their free tier, scheduled imports and exports in the Import/Export plugin, shipping labels bought per label, premium themes (a one-off each), Nebula Scale plans from £40 a month, domains bought through the dashboard and Stripe’s fee on currency conversion. Everything else on this page is inside the plan.

What happens if I hit my staff or storage limit?

Inviting one more person than your plan allows is refused with a message giving your plan’s limit and asking you to upgrade. At the storage limit, uploads are refused until you delete files or move up. Neither is charged as overage.

Can I run more than one shop?

Yes. Add another store from the same login and switch between them from the store picker. Each store has its own plan: the 14-day trial comes with your first store, and a store you add after that goes straight to checkout for its plan.

Is there a referral scheme?

Yes. Share your referral code from Settings > Referrals: the shop you refer gets 20% off its first payment, and you get credit worth half your own monthly plan price each time, up to twelve rewards in a year.

Can I leave, and what do I take with me?

Yes. Cancel from Settings > Billing and a paid plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Before you go, export products, customers, orders, inventory, categories, brands, redirects and blog posts as CSV from the dashboard. There is no charge to leave.

Do I need Enterprise to sell to trade?

Company accounts, company users and per-company price lists come with Enterprise, at £999 a month, along with the operations suite and a checkout built in the page builder. If you supply other shops rather than sell to trade yourself, the supplier programme is separate and free for your first 5 resellers.
