Product reviews sit on the product page with a star rating, a title and the buyer’s own words, and every review waits for your approval before it shows. Add the Google Reviews element and the rating you already have on Google appears on any page too.

Comfortable for a full day

Swapped our old chairs for six of these. The mesh back keeps you cool and the arms adjust properly. Assembly took ten minutes each.

Good chair, firm seat

Sturdy and easy to adjust. The seat is firm for the first week or so, but the back support is excellent.

Review moderation

Nothing shows until you approve it

For your customer

A rating, a title, and their own words.

The Product Review element goes on your product page template in the page builder. On the page, shoppers see the average rating, how the stars break down and every approved review, newest first. Anyone can write one: a name, an email address and a star rating are all it asks for.

Stars out of five

One to five stars on every review, with the average to one decimal and a bar for each star count at the top of the list.

Title and review, both optional

A shopper can leave five stars and nothing else, or a title and a few paragraphs. Anything past 200 characters folds behind Read more.

Guests can review too

No account needed. A name and an email address are required. The name shows with the review; the email is stored and never shown.

Sorted their way

Newest, oldest, highest rated or lowest rated, in pages, with the page numbers underneath.

Every review in one list

Approve, reject or delete each one

For you

Nothing shows until you say so.

New reviews land in Reviews, in your dashboard sidebar, marked Pending. Read each one, then approve it, reject it or delete it. A two-star review you approve tells shoppers the five-star ones are real.

Pending until you act

Every new review starts as Pending and stays off the storefront. Approve it and it appears; reject it and it never does, though it stays in your list; delete it and it is gone for good.

Product, review, status

The list shows the product and its handle, the reviewer, the title, the first two lines, the stars and the date. A confirm step guards every button.

On the product itself

Open any product in your dashboard and the Product Reviews block shows its average, its review count, how many are pending and the latest five. Each pending one has a tick to approve it and a cross to reject it.

A summary on your home screen

The Reviews Summary widget on the dashboard home shows total reviews, average rating, approved and pending, with a View all link into the list.

Google Reviews element

The rating you already have on Google, on any page you like.

The Google Reviews element is a paid add-on for the page builder, priced on its store listing before you install. Search for your business, pick the listing, and your star rating, review count and up to five reviews appear on the page, refreshed from Google every night. Nothing is edited, filtered or reordered. Google’s terms ask for the reviews exactly as they were left, and that is what shoppers trust.

Connect your listing

A search and a click.

In the element’s settings, type your business name and town, pick the listing from the results (each shows its rating and review count), and the reviews are on the canvas. Change, Refresh and Disconnect sit under the connected listing. Nothing to authorise: you choose a listing, that is all.

  • Business name and town
  • Rating and count on each result
  • Change
  • Refresh
  • Disconnect

Three layouts

A badge, a carousel or a grid.

The badge is one pill with the stars, the rating and the count, made to sit in a header beside your logo. The carousel and the grid show the reviews themselves, one to four across, with a heading, a rating summary, a Write a review button and a link to the full listing, each one optional.

Refreshed nightly

Every night, plus a Refresh button.

A page view never calls Google; it reads the copy Orbit saved. If Google is unreachable one night, the last good reviews stay up. Refresh by hand as often as once a minute.

  • Nightly refresh
  • Refresh button
  • Last good reviews kept

Word for word

Up to five reviews, as Google returns them.

Google supplies up to five reviews for a listing. Each shows the reviewer’s name and photo, the stars, how long ago it was left, and links back to the review on Google. You choose how many of the five to show and how many lines of text before it clamps.

  • Up to five

  • Unedited

Your design

Typography, colours, borders, spacing.

Card background, border, radius and shadow; star colour; text alignment; carousel arrows, dots and autoplay; heading, summary, review, author and meta typography; and the Write a review button in your store’s global button style.

Where to ask for a review

Add a line asking for a review to your order emails in the template editor, with a link back to your shop.

Quick to leave

Stars first, words optional

A star rating, a name and an email are all a review needs. A title and the shopper’s own words are up to them.

Google’s rules

Google reviews show as they were left

Up to five of them, unedited and in Google’s order, refreshed nightly.

The detail

What a review holds, and where it shows.

Every field, status and screen, named the way the product names them.

On a review

Five things.

Stars out of five, a title, the review text, the reviewer’s name and an email address that is stored but never shown.

  • Rating 1 to 5
  • Title
  • Review text
  • Name
  • Email, never shown

Statuses

Three, and you set them.

Every review starts Pending. Approved shows on the storefront; Rejected is kept but hidden; Delete removes it for good. Delete a product and its reviews are rejected on their own.

  • Pending
  • Approved
  • Rejected
  • Delete

The summary

Average and breakdown, per product.

The average is rounded to one decimal and counts approved reviews only, with a bar for each star count from five down to one.

  • Average rating
  • Review count
  • 5 to 1 star bars

On the storefront

One element in the page builder.

Drop the Product Review element on your product page template. It picks the installed reviews plugin, shows the reviews for whatever product the page is showing, and grows to fit them.

  • Product Review element
  • Picks the reviews plugin
  • Reviews for the product on the page
  • Height follows the content

In your dashboard

Three places.

Reviews in the sidebar for the whole list; the Product Reviews block on each product’s page; the Reviews Summary widget on the dashboard home.

  • Reviews
  • Product Reviews block
  • Reviews Summary

Reviews belong to your store and are kept by the plugin. Remove the plugin and the element shows nothing; install it again and the reviews are back.
